Denis Vsesvyatsky named director of 2x2 channel

Gazprom-Media Holding, the leading diversified media holding in Russia and Eastern Europe, announced the appointment of Denis Vsesvyatsky as the director of the 2x2 television channel. In this role, he will be responsible for the development of the channel, its content strategy and marketing.

Denis Vsesvyatsky has worked at 2x2 since 2008. From 2010 to 2016 he headed the channel’s promotion and marketing department. He has also been included in the annual rating of young media managers in Russia with the highest rating AAA (industry leader).

Under Denis Vsesvyatsky’s leadership, the 2x2 animation channel for adults will continue to introduce viewers to new projects of world animation as well as the channel’s own projects. The channel’s animation studio began its operations in summer 2016 and, in the new television season, 2x2 will deliver six new shows of its own making. Two of these - the first Russian animated sitcom Podozritelnaya Sova (Suspicious Owl) and Mult TV, the new sketch show of parodies on modern television - are already on the air at 2x2 and are exhibiting an audience share above the channel’s average.

“It is no secret that among all the Russian channels, 2x2 can be called the main link between the young Internet audience and television. Over its nine years (on the air), the channel has earned the confidence of the most demanding viewers. We respected their right to independent opinion, their desire for self-expression, and nourished their talents. As a result, we gained the most loyal audience on Russian television. My main goal will be to develop 2x2 as a television portal, which offers an alternative perspective on the world and art. We will continue to support bold experiments and interactive innovations, and we will be able to look into the future of television and attract new spectators,” said Denis Vsesvyatsky.
