Gazprom-Media Holding and Triix Media will produce a TV series about the heroic exploits of Taganrog’s underground resistance during the Great Patriotic War

Gazprom-Media Holding, together with the Triix Media film company will start filming the series Taganrog. Resistance, dedicated to the anti-fascist youth organization that operated during the occupation of Taganrog during the Great Patriotic War. The feature film is being created as part of the “No Statute of Limitations” project and will consist of eight episodes. The director of the picture is Armen Nazikyan, who was born and grew up in Rostov Region.

The joint project with Triix Media will be released exclusively on the PREMIER online cinema. For us, this is a tribute to the heroism and courage of our people and an opportunity to tell young people and as large an audience as possible about the terrible crimes of the German invaders during the Great Patriotic War. Knowing the history of our country and honoring the exploits of people with invincible fortitude is especially important for the new generations who will create the future of Russia.

When working on the script, special attention was paid to information from declassified archive documents on Nazi Germany’s genocidal plans for the peoples of the USSR. Active support in their study was provided by representatives of regional youth and search movements interested in the exploits of ancestors.

Thanks to the active assistance of leadership of the Rostov Region, the cities of Rostov-on-Don and Taganrog, museums and historical reconstruction clubs in the creation of the picture, unique samples of weapons and equipment, military uniforms and household items of the war period will be used.

It is planned that residents of the region, theater artists and young people Rostov Region will participate in the shooting of mass scenes. “In the traditions of our film company, as we have already done in Krasnoyarsk Territory, for example, we invite people living in the region to be part of the projects,” Triix Media stated.

The film company also emphasized that Soviet citizens of different nationalities who died at the hands of fascists, including children and victims of shootings at Zmievskaya Ravine in Rostov-on-Don and Gully of Petrushino in Taganrog, should not be forgotten.
