Representatives of Gazprom-Media Holding delegation participated in a meeting organized by the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, as well as producer and screenwriter Mehmet Bozdağ, founder and owner of the production company Bozdağ Film. The meeting took place in Istanbul at Bozdağ Film Plateaus – the headquarters of the largest Turkish film plateau and one of the largest film studios in Turkey, Bozdağ Film, with which Gazprom-Media Holding began cooperation earlier this year in the field of film, animation, and TV show production.

The delegation included Alina Zinnatullina, General Director of the Insight People production center, Konstantin Obukhov, General Producer of the TV-3 TV channel, and Daria Bogdanova, Head of the International Department of Gazprom-Media Holding.

During the meeting, representatives of Gazprom-Media Holding spoke about the scale of the Holding’s activities, which is consistently expanding its international presence by developing partnerships, co-productions, and exporting domestic content, and the directions of mutual cooperation with the Republic of Turkey. Special attention was paid to the line of entertainment reality shows, including the projects Survive in... and The Big Jackpot: Bangkok, which are broadcast on the TNT federal TV channel. The filming of reality shows takes place in popular tourist destinations around the world, including Dubai, Uzbekistan, China, and Vietnam.

The Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, commenting on the meeting, said: “The Republic of Turkey is interested in enhancing its tourism potential through cross-border media projects: films, series, and reality shows. Istanbul, Antalya, and Bodrum are popular tourist destinations in our country and can serve as main locations for joint production of various reality shows.”

For the successful implementation of large-scale television formats, comprehensive media support and active involvement of the blogosphere are required. As the influence of social networks on public opinion formation increases, collaboration with bloggers becomes a key element of media strategy.

At the meeting, Alina Zinnatullina, founder and CEO of the Insight People production center, announced plans to integrate Turkish bloggers into the agency’s digital campaigns and content projects. According to her, this will increase the awareness of Russian media platforms in Turkey and stimulate the interest of the Russian audience in traveling to this tourist destination.

«We see great potential in strategic partnership with Turkey, and it is of course a great honor for us to present the projects and residents of Gazprom-Media Holding on the international stage, and in Turkey in particular. Our experience shows that entertainment formats and reality show formats combined with influencer marketing work best to attract audiences to the tourism industry. And, of course, we are open to new collaborations that will not only unite Russian and Turkish viewers but also contribute to increasing the tourist flow between our countries».

The Turkish side paid special attention to the effect of the broadcast of entertainment reality shows. For example, after the premiere of Survive in Samarkand, the number of TNT viewers considering Samarkand as an attractive travel destination increased by 11%. This confirms the high effectiveness of Gazprom-Media Holding media projects as a tool for tourism promotion.

Konstantin Obukhov, General Producer of the TV-3 TV channel and General Producer of the TV shows Survive in... and The Big Jackpot, explained: “Gazprom-Media Holding is considering various countries and destinations for filming its TV shows, both existing reality shows and new projects. Turkey is the most popular tourist destination for Russians, and this makes the country a strategic partner in the joint production of vibrant, spectacular shows.”

More than 6.7 million Russian tourists visited Turkey in 2024. Gazprom-Media Holding considers this market strategically important in terms of tourism and media cooperation. The filming of a new large-scale TV project from Gazprom-Media Holding will begin in Turkey this autumn.

The holding continues to expand its expertise in the international environment and strengthen Russia’s cultural influence by building strong ties with foreign partners and broadcasting the key meanings and values of our country.

Gazprom-Media Holding is developing cooperation with foreign partners in the field of media production, including the largest media companies in India, China, and the UAE.
