TNT channel is launching a large-scale talent show Novye Tantsy (New Dances), which will bring together dancers from different styles, teams, schools and dance communities. The show’s participants will be battling it out on the dance floor in four categories: solos, duets, children and teams.
Almost 400 people were selected to participate in the show. The winners will be determined in a head-to-head battle format where the battle winner advances to the next stage while its loser is eliminated. Dancers from completely different styles will face each other in the battles: hip hop versus contemporary, breakdance versus locking, ballroom versus experimental dance, and so forth. It will be impossible to predict the winner given such diverse matchups.
The show will give out 10 million rubles as prize money. The finalists of each competition category will receive one million rubles with the remaining money going to the winner.
