Gazprom-Media won 38 awards, thus becoming the leader among Russian media holdings. This is an all-time record for the Holding in all the years of its participation in the competition.

The names of the 2021 Promax Global Excellence Awards were announced on November 18. This is one of the key events in the global media industry, which identifies new trends and puts a spotlight on the most creative ideas in entertainment marketing.

Gazprom-Media’s TV channels received 38 awards this year, beating out leading international companies in their nominations, including CNN, WarnerMedia, Viacom, The Walt Disney Company and others. The marketing and advertising creations of the Gazprom-Media channels TNT4, TNT, Friday!, TV-3, Subbota! and Match TV won the awards. The Holding also broke last year’s record by winning 10 more awards than before. In total, Gazprom-Media now has 115 prestigious awards from Promax Global, including the 2021 statuettes.

TNT4

TNT4 has once again become the undisputed leader among Russian television channels, winning 15 awards, including 10 gold, four silver and one bronze. In terms of gold awards, TNT4 was second only to the US television channel CNN, which won 12 gold awards at 2021 Promax Global. This is the best, most sensational result for TNT4 promos in the 5.5 years that they have been featured at Promax.

The video clip “Sploshnoe kino” (Never-ending film) earned the channel nine gold and one silver awards in 10 nominations: “External marketing”, “Best editing”, “Best brand promo :60 seconds or less”, “Best program promo :60 seconds or less”, “Best programming or campaign promo”, “Best theatrical movie shown on television promo - drama”, “Best promo of a special event :60 seconds or less”, “Best sound design”, and “Against all odds”. The video “Vse krome Titanika” (Everything except the Titanic) also received a silver and bronze in the last two nominations. 

The promo clip for the film Gangs of New York took silver in the “OMG!” nomination while the clip Beatbox took silver for “Best use of music”. The video clip made for the reality series Soldatki (Female Soldiers) received a gold award in the nomination “Unscripted. Best clip-based program promo :60 seconds or less”.

In 2020, TNT4 received 10 Promax Global statuettes and became a leader among Russian channels in terms of the number of projects that won awards. TNT4 is currently the Russian channel with the most international marketing awards. In the nearly six years since it was launched, TNT4 has won more than 80 statuettes at the prestigious Promax international awards in television marketing.

Friday! and Subbota!

The promos of Friday! TV channel received eight statuettes. The channel won three gold awards in the nominations “Unscripted: Best campaign” and “360 Campaign: Best unscripted program” for its promo campaign to the reality show Patsanky (Tomboys), and in the nomination “Content partnership: Best program/series and product tie-in” for the collaboration between Friday! channel and Yandex.Lavka in promoting the show Konditer (Confectioner). The Subbota! channel sky presentation on the Aeroflot and Simple’s special Moscow-Moscow flight received a silver in the same nomination. This case also took bronze in the nomination “Best project presentation”. These are the channel’s first Promax awards.

The video clip “Iso-LEO-lyatsiya” and the promo clip to the show “TikTok talant” (TikTok talent) won silver awards in the nominations “Funniest promo :60 seconds or less” and “Daytime: Best program promo :60 seconds or less”, respectively. 

The channel also took a bronze for its TikTok advertising campaign of the show Oryol i Reshka (Heads or Tails) in the “Best program in social networks” nomination, the clip to the travel show Mir Naiznanku: Pakistan (The World Inside Out: Pakistan) in the nomination “Documentary or factual entertainment: Best program promo :60 seconds or less” and the promo to the film Four Rooms in the nomination “Best theatrical movie shown on television promo - comedy”.
  
TV-3

TV-3 channel received four awards at 2021 Promax Global. The video clip “Gipnoticheski krasivoe kino” (Hyptonisingly beautiful film) took a silver award in the nomination “Best seasonal or special event program promo :60 seconds or less”, as well as two bronze awards in the nominations “Best program promo :60 seconds or less” and “Best internal marketing or sizzl”. 

The jury also awarded a bronze statuette to the case “Poezdka v Chernobyl” (A trip to Chernobyl) in the nomination “Best integration using social media”.

TNT

TNT channel won nine awards, including three gold. The promo campaign for the series Pereval Dyatlova (Dead Mountain: The Dyatlov Pass Incident) received five Promax statuettes.

The Pereval Dyatlova promo campaign won awards in the nominations: “360 campaign: Best program promotion” , “Best experiential activation for a program or series”, “Best organic use of social media to promote a program or series”, “Best interactive program” and “Best technical innovations: Digital platforms”. 

The show Tantsy (Dances) won a gold award in the nomination “Best entertainment promo”. The campaigns to promote the show Improvisatsiya (Improvisation) and the series Zoloto Gelendzhika (Gelendzhik Gold) received bronze awards. The design and marketing departments of the channel also won a gold Promax award in the nomination “Best internal marketing or sizzle” for their showreel featuring program opening credits, the channel’s identity, sponsorship integrations and promo campaigns.

The channel’s video promo “Dni boksa na Match TV” (Boxing days on Match TV) took a silver award in the nomination "Sports: Best use of an athlete”.

Last year, Gazprom-Media Holding won 27 statuettes at the 2020 Promax Global Excellence Awards, which similarly made it the leader among Russian media holdings.
