An online meeting of the Association of Managers Committee on Information Technologies called “Approaches to the transition to electronic document management in HR” was held on October 27. Tamara Voronina, director of the HR department at Gazprom-Media Holding, took part in the meeting.
In her presentation, Tamara Voronina noted that Gazprom-Media Holding is considering the implementation of KEDO (electronic personnel document management) due to the digitalisation of an increasing number of processes, which is especially the case during the global pandemic. The implementation of KEDO would be a necessary and timely mechanism for keeping an efficient workflow, including for remote work. Some of the key advantages for the company include the high speed of document exchanges, standardisation and logging of personnel information in specialised databases, control over the document signing process, and access to the documents archive in an electronic format. As a participant of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs pilot project on the implementation of electronic HR document management, Gazprom-Media Holding has also started to implement KEDO in one of its assets. This way the system can be tested and tweaks can be made before the launch of electronic HR document management throughout the whole company.
Tamara also noted that, as a socially responsible company, Gazprom-Media Holding supports Russia’s national development goals, shares the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and is very attentive to being environmentally friendly - stepping away from excessive paper workflows is beneficial for nature conservation.
