Sub-holding Gazprom-Media Match announced the launch of new sports thematic channels. Nine sports channels will begin their broadcasting on January 25.
Nine channels Our Football, Match! Our Sport , Match! Arena, Match! Game, Match! Fighter, Match! Planet, Match! Football 1 , Match! Football 2 and Match! Footballs 3 joined the new sports channels’ family of sub-holding Gazprom-Media Match. Most of these channels will broadcast in modern television high definition format HD. Besides the nine own channels, 3 channels will be formed in the sub-holding on demand: TV KHL, KHL TV HD, Horse world.
"We are pleased to announce the launch of the updated thematic channels devoted to sport. For us, this step is logical and consistent in shaping the sport direction. In the near future the formation of professional teams will be completed on TV channels. The creation of interesting content and improving the quality of sporting events will be among their priorities"- said the director general of the holding Gazprom-Media Dmitry Chernyshenko.
Match! Our Sport will show the most interesting Russian tournaments: the national championships in athletics, swimming, artistic and rhythmic gymnastics, biathlon, volleyball, handball, basketball matches of VTB United Basketball League and international competitions, which are held in Russian territory. Exclusive Channel Our Football is devoted to Russian football with a lot of thematic and analytical programs involving players, coaches and stars of sports journalism and football experts.
TV channels Match! Game and Match! Arena will broadcast top-rated and prestigious international competitions. On the channel Match! Game you can see European club tournaments in basketball, volleyball, handball and other sports games. On Match Arena will appear European and World Championships in athletics, biathlon, cross country skiing, figure skating, water sports and much more. Match! Football 1 will focus on broadcasting of English Premier League and the FA Cup, the European Football Championship, the Champions League and UEFA Europa League matches. Match! Football 2 will show matches of the Spanish championship. Here, too, you will see the European Football Championship, the Champions League and Europa League. Match! Football 3 will be dedicated to the matches in Serie A (Italian championship), Bundesliga (German Championship) and Ligue 1 (French championship)
The TV channel Match! Fighter will be dedicated to professional and amateur kinds of martial arts and will broadcast the main matches with participation of Russian and foreign athletes.
International version of the federal TV channel MATCH TV will be Match! Planet, which is going to combine the key sports broadcast and programs. Broadcasting of Match! Planet will be on the territory of CIS countries.
The main event of 2016 - XXXI Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro - will be shown in the most comprehensive manner on the channel of sub-holding Gazprom-Media Match.

On January 27, at the Forum section of the CSTB Telecom & Media'2016, which is dedicated to the industry of television and telecommunications, the renovated line of sports channels of sub-holding Gazprom-Media Match will be presented, and from February 1 an updated version of the site matchtv.ru will be launched.
