Three out of four best TV series in 2016 were shown on TNT and TV-3, according to the Association of Film and Television Producers.

The Association selected the best domestic television films and series of 2016 on March 31. The Association’s jury named the TNT and TV-3 television series as the best in five nominations.

The short list of the awards included Gazprom-Media’s TV projects in nine different nominations. Among those bidding for the Association’s awards were the TNT series Pyanaya Firma (The Drunken Firm), Olga, Fizruk (Gym Teacher), and the series Anna-Detektiv (Anna-Detective) from TV-3 channel.

The best TV movie of 2016, according to the Association, was the TNT series Pyanaya Firma. The best actor, according to the jury, was Mikhail Efremov for his role as Grigory Shtuchny in Pyanaya Firma.

The TV-3 project Anna-Detektiv was named the best TV series with more than 24 episodes.

The TV series Olga, which aired on TNT, was recognized as the best comedy series.

The Association of Film and Television Producers award is given on the basis of the evaluations done by a professional jury. The Association’s jury includes representatives of 27 largest production companies that create film and television content for the Russian market.
