The Golden Eagle (Zolotoy Oryol) film awards ceremony was held in Moscow on January 24. The projects of Gazprom-Media Holding received six awards, thus renewing the record the Holding set in 2018 when its projects won four awards.

The film Tekst (Text) directed by Klim Shipenko was the biggest winner at the annual awards and took home four prestigious prizes. The film received the Grand Prix in the “Best picture” nomination and received the most prizes in major categories.

The film’s lead actor, Alexander Petrov, was recognized as the best actor, while Ivan Yankovsky took the award for best supporting actor. The film also received the award for “Best editing”.

The film is the work of the video service Start and Central Partnership (part of Gazprom-Media Holding), and was made with the participation of Kinoprime Foundation. The film’s producers are Eduard Iloyan, Denis Zhalinsky, Aleksei Trotsyuk, Vitaliy Shlyappo, Vadim Vereshchagin, and Rafael Minasbekyan.

The film was released into theatres in October 2019, while the video service Start held an exclusive online premiere of the film in December 2019.

Pavel Derevyanko was recognized as the best television actor for his role in the comedy series Domashnyy Arest (Home Arrest). The series was created by the TV channel TNT and Comedy Club Production studio (part of Gazprom-Media Holding). Its premiere took place on the Premier platform.

The series tells the story of a provincial city mayor who comes under investigation and is forced to go and live in an old communal apartment.

Anna Mikhalkova was named “Best TV actress” for her work in the series Shtorm (Storm) by director Boris Khlebnikov. The crime drama is available exclusively on the Start platform. Last year, the series topped a survey on the Кино-театр.ру website that involved 18 Russian film and television critics.
