The results of MATCH! GOLOS. Konkurs kommentatorov (MATCH! VOTE. Commentator Contest) were announced on December 27.
The jury chose Dmitry Bazhanov from Moscow as the best of the over 500 participants who submitted their audio tests, making him the new voice of sporting events on MATCH!. He received a contract with Match TV channel during a live broadcast, as well as his first reporting assignment: the Barcelona vs. Eibar game on December 29.
Commentators Georgy Cherdantsev, Andrey Arshavin, and Konstantin Genich, as well as the musician Vasily Vakulenko, also known as Basta, chose the finalists.
Ilya Rozhkov from St. Petersburg finished in second place. This allows him to undergo an internship at the subholding’s channels and visit a UEFA Euro 2020 match in St. Petersburg, subject to the decision by local authorities and Rospotrebnadzor officials to allow spectators and journalists into the stands.
The bronze went to Bulat Salimgareev from Ufa. In addition to an internship at Match TV, he will be able to visit the final of one of the European football tournaments.
