Moscow, Russian Federation - TV channels Match TV, Auto Plus, 365 days of TV and the satellite operator NTV-Plus, belonging to the holding Gazprom media, were awarded the prize Big Digit. The ceremony of the Seventh National Award in the area of multi-channel digital television was held on January 27.

According to the results of audience voting a federal TV channel Match TV was recognized as the best sports channel. Since November 1, 2015 the broadcasts of major sports events, news, analytical and entertainment programs, reality- and talk shows, documentary series, shows about healthy lifestyle, feature films and serials about the sport have been available for Match TV viewers around the clock.

Satellite operator NTV-Plus was awarded a special prize "For the contribution to the development of the B2B sector from the organizing committee of the national award Big Digit.

According to the results of voting of the jury the channel Auto Plus won the award for "Entertainment channel". Red media is producing this channel. On the air of Auto Plus there are programs about cars and vehicles, the audience is offered expert opinions and shooting of extreme expeditions.

Also, a special prize from the partners of the award was received by the channel 365 days of TV, the production of which is made by Red media. Russian Public TV awarded the channel "for the preservation of historical heritage". 365 Days of TV introduces viewers with the world history and the history of Russia round the clock.

About the Award

First National Prize Big Digit was established in 2009 by the Association of Russian cable TV and by exhibition company Midexpo with the participation of the Ministry of Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation and the support of Russia's leading operators.

Award winners were determined by a professional jury voting and televoting. The jury was headed by the president of the International Academy of Television and Radio, the general director of Russian Public Television Anatoly Lysenko. Big Digit jury consists of leading experts in the area of cable and air television, journalists and well-known state and public figures.
