Gazprom-Media Holding has announced new appointments in the group Gazprom-Media Entertainment TV. Valery Fyodorovich was appointed general manager of the TV-3 channel. He will be responsible for the strategy of the channel’s development, content production and marketing.

Valery Fyodorovich previously worked as a deputy general producer at TNT, where he was responsible for the lineup of the channel’s dramatic series. Among them are such projects as Izmeny (Cheating), which won TEFI awards in three categories (“Best series,” “Best director,” “Best actress”), Chernobyl, which received a TEFI nomination for “Best series,” Sladkaya Zhizn (Dolce Vita), Zakon Kamennyh Djunglei (Rules of the Stone Jungle) and many more.

Evgeny Nikishov was appointed general producer at TV-3. In the new position, he will be responsible for the production of television series. In his previous role as a deputy general producer at TNT, Evgeny Nikishov produced the series Realnye Patsany (Real Guys), Deffchonki (Girls), Chernobyl, Ostrov (The Island) and others.

Ekaterina Dunaeva stays on with the TV-3 team as a director for strategic development.

“The task that lies before us is very ambitious. We are planning to gradually turn TV-3 into a channel of premium television series content. Already next year the channel will showcase such large-scale projects as Gogol and the second season of one of the highest rated film series on Russian television, Chernobyl. Zona Otchuzhdeniya (Chernobyl. Estranged Zone). Since we worked hard to develop dramatic series at TNT, we are not starting at TV-3 with a blank slate. We already have several interesting projects in the works with the best directors and screenwriters of our country,” Valery Fyodorovich said.

“Today in the minds of viewers and advertisers, TV-3 is a channel that specializes in mystical content, which, in our opinion, significantly narrows its audience and the genre variety of the projects. At the same time, we really like the TV-3 slogan - everything except the ordinary. This is exactly what will guide us as we search for new projects and launch them into production,” said Evgeny Nikishov.

“In discussing the strategy for the development of the channel, we eventually came to the conclusion that we want, on one hand, to keep the existing loyal audience, and on the other hand, to attract new spectators thanks to a large variety of genres of our projects,” said Ekaterina Dunaeva.

The audience share of the TV-3 channel has increased by 46% since 2011. In 2016, the channel’s share among its target audience (Russians aged 25 to 59) rose from 3.1% in January to 3.8% in November.
