The series will be released on the PREMIER and START platforms in 2023.
Good Story Media (part of Gazprom-Media Holding) and START will film the TV series Na Ldu (On Ice) together. This is an eight-episode drama about one of the most popular and scandal-filled sports in Russia. The series will look at the lives of athletes as well as the modern-day parents who stand behind them.
The story centers on a once famous figure skater who returns to her hometown and gets a job as a coach at her former figure skating school. The real motive for her return is revealed in time. The drama Na Ldu tries to answer the big questions: Do we always do things with our children’s happiness in mind? Can we take responsibility for the happiness of our child if we are not able to understand whether we are happy ourselves?
Filming is scheduled to start in 2022. The PREMIER and START video services will release the drama series in 2023.
