Gazprom-Media Holding and the Tavrida Art Cluster have signed an agreement on cooperation in the educational sphere for the development of creative industries. The agreement was signed on August 17, 2022 during the presentation of the University of Creative Industries at the Tavrida.ART festival in Crimea. Russian Media Group and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation have also joined the agreement.

The Tavrida Art Cluster unites a festival, educational programs, a casting platform, a grant competition, a federal network of art residences, the University of Creative Industries, which is under construction, and other projects.

The parties to the agreement have agreed to work together in order to develop education in the creative industries. It is planned to conduct joint research and development to promote the creative and cultural activities of young people in Russia, implement training and professional development programs, and attract industry leaders to the projects.

The University of Creative Industries will become a platform for the implementation of joint projects. It will be a year-round educational and outreach complex where young professionals from various spheres will develop their potential, improve their skills and enhance their professional achievements, learn to manage teams and projects, and bring their creative competencies and skills into the field of business and commercially appealing activities. On this platform, professionals will receive education under the supervision of recognized experts and take part in interactive projects prepared in cooperation with leading institutions and corporate partners.

The University is now being built on Kapsel Bay in Crimea. It will accept its first students in 2023. The first educational programs and their curators will be introduced during the presentation. These include: Igor Butman, people’s artist of Russia, producer, and president of Igor Butman Music Group (music and promotion); Vladimir Mashkov, artistic director of the Oleg Tabakov Moscow Theater (performing arts); Yulia Muzykantskaya, director of the Moscow International Biennial of Contemporary Art; Alexander Kupalyan, artist and corresponding member of the Academy of Arts (contemporary art); Sergey Shanovich, a famous Russian designer and founder and head of the SHANDESIGN studio (design); Sergey Sysoev, owner of the SERGEY SYSOEV brand and member of the High Fashion and Pret-a-Porte Association of Russia and the International Union of Designers Association (fashion industry); Dmitry Mednikov, managing director of Russian Media Group; and Anna Popova, head of government relations at Gazprom-Media Holding (modern media).
