Boris Khanchalyan: Gazprom-Media Holding sees interest in cooperation from Chinese business cover

In Beijing, as part of a working visit by the Gazprom-Media Holding delegation, a meeting took place between Deputy CEO Boris Khanchalyan and Chairman of the Union of Chinese Entrepreneurs in Russia Zhou Liqun. The event marked the first step in establishing dialogue between the Holding and the largest association of Chinese business in Russia, which operates under the auspices of the Ministry of Commerce of China and the Chinese Embassy in Russia, comprising about 4,000 companies. The parties discussed opportunities for cooperation between Gazprom-Media Holding and Chinese companies.

«For Gazprom-Media Holding, building strong partnerships with Chinese colleagues is a strategic step towards strengthening leadership positions in the global media market. We see potential in comprehensive joint projects aimed at developing media, creative industries, and the economies of our countries. In particular, on our part, we can significantly enhance the media presence of Chinese company brands in the Russian market».

From Gazprom-Media Holding, the meeting was also attended by General Director of the Insight People production center (part of Gazprom-Media Holding) Alina Zinnatullina, First Deputy General Director of GPM KIT (part of Gazprom-Media Holding) Nikolay Solomentsev, and Head of the Holding’s international direction Daria Bogdanova. 


During the negotiations, the parties identified promising areas of interaction. Boris Khanchalyan presented a vision of cooperation, which from the side of Gazprom-Media Holding includes promotion through the blogosphere and influencers in the Russian advertising market.

The meeting laid the foundation for a partnership between the parties. The next step could be a meeting in Moscow, during which Gazprom-Media Holding will present its capabilities to the member companies of the Union of Chinese Entrepreneurs.
