FOX Broadcasting Company has acquired the rights to the format of the series CHOP, which first aired on TNT channel. 20th Century Fox TV and Fox Entertainment will oversee the adaptation of the Russian sitcom. The original CHOP series was created by Good Story Media together with TNT channel.

The American project will be called Building Security. Steve Koren, the screenwriter of the TV series Seinfeld and Veep with Julia Louis-Dreyfus as well as Saturday Night Live, will act as the showrunner of the series adaptation. As producer, Steve Koren worked on the films Bruce Almighty with Jim Carrey and Click with Adam Sandler.

CHOP aired on TNT channel in 2015 and 2016. Sergey Stepin starred in the lead role in the sitcom, which talked about the daily life of employees of the security company Kedr. These employees monitor the order of one of Moscow’s business centers and constantly end up in the most unimaginable situations. At the moment, the series is available to the subscribers of the Premier online platform.
