PromaxBDA, the global professional association of the entertainment marketing industry, announced the winners of its prestigious international contest on September 16. Gazprom Media’s television channels TNT4, Friday!, Match Premier and TV-3 received a total of eight statuettes—two gold and six silver—at Promax Europe Awards 2020, which recognizes outstanding works in television marketing, promotion and design. 

TNT4 received five Promax Europe Awards 2020, which made it the leader among Russian companies at the contest. The TV channel received a gold prize in the nomination Best Original Musical Score for its promo to the film 127 Hours. It also took silver in Best Sound Design. The festival’s jury awarded two silver prizes to the channel for its video promoting films in the Pravilnoe Kino (The Right Movie) special in the nominations Best Special Event Promo and Best Marketing Solution. The promo made for the 35th anniversary of the first Police Academy film also took silver in the Best Sound nomination.   

Match Premier took the gold prize for Best Promo of a Live Sports Event for its video announcing the start of the new UEFA Champions League season.

Silver prizes were given to the marketing campaign promoting the reality show Okhlobystiny (The Okhlobystins) on TV-3 in the nomination Social Network Promos and the video promoting the Krutoe Kino (Cool Movie) special on Friday! channel for Best Editing. 

The shortlist of the award was announced in February and featured 22 contestants from Gazprom Media channels across 18 nominations, with other marketing projects from Friday! Super, TNT, Match Premier, and several Red Media companies also vying for awards at the international contest. 

The annual PromaxBDA Awards are the most prestigious prize in the fields of television marketing, promotion and design. PromaxBDA recognizes the best projects made over the past year based on creative scope, marketing strategy, advertising, and technological innovation.

The PromaxBDA Association brings together TV marketing professionals from 65 countries, and the awards ceremonies are held in Europe, Australia, Latin America and Asia.
