The series Pereval Dyatlova (Dead Mountain - The Dyatlov Pass Incident), was included in the exclusive Topic Originals lineup of the new North American streaming service Topic. The series was produced by 1-2-3 Production, with Valeriy Fedorovich and Evgeny Nikishov serving as its directors and producers. USA and Canada residents will be able to watch the first three episodes of the series starting on September 2, 2021. The remaining five episodes will be released once a week, on Thursdays, until October 7.
Topic is a fast-growing, niche streaming service that was launched in November 2019 by First Look Media. Its founder is Pierre Omidyar, the founder and chairman of eBay. The new company has immediately formed a connection with its target audience - curious, inquisitive viewers who are looking for smart, provocative and meaningful entertainment. To cater to this audience, the service makes sure to feature carefully selected, original content in its lineup: award-winning documentaries, exclusive programs from around the world, films and series that have meaningful and often provocative storylines. The streaming service previously bought the rights to two seasons of the Russian drama Obychnaya Zhenshina (An Ordinary Woman) from the British distributor Cinefix Rights. The first season can already be viewed on the platform, and the second will be available starting on June 3.
