The second season of the musical show Pesny (Songs) will start on TNT on February 16 at 20:00. This season’s mentors will be the head of Black Star label Timati and the founder of Gazgolder Records Basta (Vasily Vakulenko). Each producer has his own philosophy, ideas about modern music and trends, approaches to finding talents, educating future music stars and working with artists.
More than 30,000 applications from performers from across Russia and the CIS states were received in their quest to participate in the project. Young artists came to auditions with unusual covers, unique numbers and their own songs.
TNT channel viewers will choose the winner of the show. The contestant with the highest number of votes will receive 5 million rubles, and in the final, Timati and Basta will also personally choose performers who will join the Black Star and Gazgolder teams. The comedian Pavel Volya will host the show, smoothing out corners and defusing the creative atmosphere during each segment. Ekaterina Varnava will appear on the show for the first time, as a backstage host. She will support the contestants before and after their performances, ask them about their emotions and personal stories, all of which will make the talent show an even richer viewing experience.
