Match TV is organizing a new football tournament, Match Premier Cup, with the support of the Russian Premier League. The tournament will feature matches between the Russian football clubs Lokomotiv, Rostov, Zenit and Spartak, and will be played in Qatar, which will host the next World Cup.

The Match Premier Cup is a chance for Russian football players to get acquainted with the venue of the next World Cup, which will be held in the Middle East for the first time, in the fall-winter of 2022. The Cup will also have a prize fund of $200,000.

The tournament will take place from January 21 to January 29, 2019 and will become the main event in Russian football. Match TV channels, Match Premier, matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru websites, as well as the official website of the Russian Premier League premierliga.ru will offer extensive coverage of the Match Premier Cup.

The Aspire Academy in Doha is the venue for the tournament. In addition to 14 football fields, the complex has around 40 areas for athletics, gymnastics, basketball, volleyball, handball, fencing, swimming, table tennis and squash. Zenit, Bayern, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and other top European football clubs have trained on the Academy’s territory.
