Match TV builds unique studio in St. Petersburg for Euro 2020

Match TV set up a temporary studio in St. Petersburg for the 2020 UEFA European Football Championship. The city will host seven matches of the tournament. The studio, which is located on the Neva shore next to Gazprom Arena, is already operational.

The futuristic studio, built in the shape of a football, looks like an object from outer space. And it is precisely in this art object that Match TV presenters and their guests will discuss all the latest that’s happening in one of Euro 2020’s host cities.

About 180 people are supporting the operations of the St. Petersburg studio, excluding the channel’s creative teams. The ball studio’s diameter is 13 metres. It has panoramic windows, and they have some special properties too. Thanks to a special system, it is possible to change the view outside the studio windows by pushing a button on a remote control.
