​Gazprom-Media Holding receives several Zolotoy Luch awards

The TV channels of Gazprom-Media and NTV-Plus digital television operator won several national Zolotoy Luch awards in the field of satellite, cable and online television. The award ceremony took place on November 21 in Moscow.

Kuhnya TV, which is produced by Red Media, won in the nomination “Women’s TV channel.” The channel already has Zolotoy Luch awards in the “Lifestyle” nomination and the audience vote for the prize. Kuhnya TV’s program lineup includes useful and interesting culinary shows that feature renown, world-class chefs. This year the channel celebrated its 10-year anniversary.

“It is very nice to create such a delicious culinary channel, and getting awards is an added pleasure. I want to thank my team, the coolest team in the world,” said Kristina Maidanyuk, editor-in-chief of Kuhnya TV.

The television channel NTV-Mir received a special prize for the development of satellite television in Russia. Alexey Zemsky, the general manager of NTV company, accepted the award. NTV-Mir is one of the leaders in international, Russian-language broadcasting, and is the global version of the NTV channel. The broadcasts of NTV-Mir are carried out through the local satellite and cable networks. Thanks to the channel, Russian-speaking television viewers from dozens of countries around the world are able to watch their favourite Russian programs.

In addition, the awards jury recognized NTV-Plus with a special prize for the company’s technological innovations.

“The technological leadership of NTV-Plus is not mere words. Since 2015, we are investing in the development of the most modern platforms. Online TV, video-on-demand, including direct broadcasts of sports competitions, hybrid television and OTT are accessible to all of the operator’s subscribers in high definition. Thank you to the organizers of the awards for the high marks they gave to our efforts and successes,” said Mikhail Dyomin, general manager of NTV-Plus.

Zolotoy Luch is a competition among non-terrestrial, special-interest TV channels that are broadcast via satellite, cable and Internet operators on the territory of Russia or abroad. The prize was established in 2009 by the National Association of Television and Radio Broadcasters.
