Gazprom-Media Holding expands support for NGOs and charitable organisations

Gazprom-Media Holding signed several memorandums today about its cooperation with the charitable foundations Tvorcheskoe Obyedinenie Krug (Creative Circle Association), Natsionalnyy Fond Razvitiya Reabilitatsii (National Foundation for the Development of Rehabilitation), and the inclusive cultural centre Tverskaya, 15, as part of the Holding’s own corporate social-responsibility program PRO_Sodeistvie (PRO_Support).

The memorandum signing ceremony was held at the Gazprom-Media headquarters with the participation of Antonina Priezzheva, the Holding’s human resources director, and representatives of the charity foundations.

Gazprom-Media Holding’s corporate social-responsibility program looks at foundations that do not receive the support of large companies and helps them to carry out society-oriented projects, offers targeted support for charity initiatives and development of non-profit organisations, and ensures that their potential is used effectively. The main goal of the program is to help charity organisations make their activities more effective, expand the scale of philanthropy among individuals and organisations, including mass participation, public support, incentive mechanisms, media coverage and communications.

The cooperation agreements also include support for the development of an inclusive environment and the organisation and implementation of educational ProBono seminars, in which the Holding’s representatives will share their expertise and knowledge in response to requests that come from the nonprofit sector and with the involvement of Gazprom-Media’s Volunteer Centre.

The development of the Gazprom-Media Volunteer Centre is a separate vector in the PRO_Sodeistvie program. The centre’s main activities include working with requests from foundations as well as helping people adapt to further employment. There are also plans to organise charity fairs and annual awards, film socially-oriented videos, and help charity foundations to sell souvenir products.

Gazprom-Media Holding has a number of permanent as well as special projects as part of its corporate social responsibility program: from the TV shows Ty Super! (You are Super!) and Puteshestvie Deda Moroza s NTV (The Journey of Santa Claus with NTV) to the documentary series Vernuvshiesya (The Returned) and Poprosi u Neba (Ask from the Sky). Moreover, Gazprom-Media Holding is acting as an information partner for the Russia-wide mutual aid program, #MYVMESTE (#WEARETOGETHER), supporting the Dobroshrift initiative and other charity marathons and projects.

“Contemporary Russian charity was formed a long time ago, and has reached maturity. Support for volunteering and socially significant projects is a key part of the company’s corporate social policy. And now what the industry needs is not one-time initiatives, but comprehensive promotion. By using the unique resources of Gazprom-Media, we immerse new social projects into our ecosystem and share the Holding’s capabilities with the aim to increase the public’s awareness of them, develop the NGOs’ capabilities and promote them in general.”
