Gazprom media, the leading diversified media holding in Russia and Eastern Europe, announced the appointment of Alexey Zemsky as General Manager of NTV broadcasting company.
Before joining the company Alexey Zemsky served as Deputy General Director of the Russian State TV and Radio Company (VGTRK), and supervised production and technology department of VGTRK. Earlier, in 2003-2004, he took up the post of Deputy General Director of NTV.

Biography
Alexey Zemsky was born on October 11, 1967 in Moscow. In 1990 he graduated from the acting department of the State Institute of Theatre Arts (now the Russian University of Theatre Arts - GITIS). From 1993 to 1996 he studied at the directing department of All-Russian State University of Cinematography (VGIK) as "the director of television and films."
From 2008 to 2015 he was deputy director general of VGTRK and supervised production and technology department of the holding. During this period, he took part in the organization and production of big televised events, among them - the military parade on Red Square on the Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War, a direct line with the Russian President and the press conference of the Russian President. From 2003 to 2004, he served as Deputy General Director of NTV where he managed non-information projects of the channel.
He has worked on television since 1991. From 1991 to 2003 he was co-founder and general producer of Figaro Studio - an independent manufacturer of TV products for the Russian TV channels. During this time, he produced such successful television projects as the festival "New Wave" in Yurmala, "New Year's Eve on Channel One" and "Golden Gramophone" on Channel One, talk show "Coma" on NTV, "Hurry into do good things" on TVC, TV films "Zastava", "Chinese Box", "The Last Guardian".
Alexey Zemsky is a member of the International Academy of Television and Radio.
