Gazprom-Media Holding expands cooperation with India cover

Gazprom-Media Holding and Indian company Eleeanora Images Privet Limited have signed a cooperation agreement. The document was signed by the CEO of the holding, Aleksandr Zharov, and the Managing Director of Eleeanora Images Privet Limited, renowned Indian director and producer Nila Panda.

The agreement formalized the parties’ intentions to collaborate in the field of film production. The partners plan to jointly develop scripts and creative concepts for films, as well as combine efforts in project financing. Plans include organizing filming in Russia and India with the participation of creative and technical specialists from both countries, joint work on post-production, marketing, and distribution in Russia, India, and other markets.

“This agreement sets a systematic approach to our cooperation with Indian partners. We are reaching a new level: not just episodic cooperation, but full-fledged joint work, from content development to release on screens. India is one of the fastest-growing media markets in the world, and it is important for us to build long-term relationships with players who understand the local specifics and possess real expertise. I am confident that combining our resources and expertise will allow us to create projects that will find their audience both in Russia and in India.”

The document was signed during the visit of the Indian delegation to the Gazprom-Media Holding office. During the negotiations, the terms for producing the joint film Anna Pavlova were discussed, as well as Gazprom-Media Holding’s support in implementing Eleeanora Images’ projects in Russia.

“I look at this cooperation with great optimism. Gazprom-Media understands how to make films for a large audience, while also respecting the auteur approach. For me, this is the perfect balance. I see that we can grow together, both as producers and as a creative team. I am convinced that exciting joint projects await us ahead.”

The signing of the agreement became a continuation of Gazprom-Media Holding’s strategy to develop partnerships with India. At the beginning of 2025, the holding signed agreements with Indian media companies Only Much Louder and Quantext Media Private Limited, and during the Russia-India business forum in December 2025, an agreement on cooperation was signed with state broadcaster Prasar Bharati.
