The Holding has become an information partner of the federal Sokhranenie Lesov (Saving the Forests) project
Sokhranenie Lesov is part of the national Ecology project and includes the countrywide Sokhranim Les (Save the Forest) campaign. It was initiated by Russia’s Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment, the Federal Forestry Agency and the All-Russia Society for Nature Conservation, with support from the Molodezhka ONF youth group.
This year the Sokhranim Les campaign launched on August 26 in Kamchatka. The large-scale ecological campaign focuses on planting trees, and one of its major events in 2020 took place in the Republic of Crimea. More than 55,000 seedlings of various trees were planted in the republic’s Bakhchisaraysky region on November 5 as part of the campaign. Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov, the chairman of the State Council and members of the Crimean government, as well as representatives from the region’s forestry department, deputies, representatives of veteran and public organizations, volunteers and schoolchildren, took part in the initiative. Gazprom Media employees also contributed to the efforts.
