The 25th anniversary St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which took place on June 15–18 and brought together representatives from 130 countries, has completed its work in St. Petersburg. Gazprom-Media Holding was the forum’s general media partner for the first time.
The forum was attended by CEO of Gazprom-Media Holding Aleksandr Zharov and other top managers of the holding. A series of business and cultural events were held by RUTUBE and PREMIER digital platforms and YAPPY social media, and the NTV channel was a SPIEF media partner for the fifth time.
The holding organized 4 sessions. On June 15, a discussion panel “Pirates of the Content Sea. The Future of Russian Online Platforms” took place, organized by the holding together with PREMIER. On June 16, the session “Information struggle: protection of national media sovereignty” was held, organized jointly with RUTUBE. In addition, MATCH TV organized sessions “Champions: from a medal to a brand” and “Sport without barriers: new scenarios and formats”.

As is tradition, the NTV channel launched a high-tech two-story studio with live broadcasts of the Segodnya program main episodes, live broadcasts of reporters and NTV presenters, as well as broadcasts of exclusive interviews with top participants of the event. The main innovation this year was implementation of remote live production technology, which ensured autonomy of the news pavilion from the control room. Presenters worked at the forum with broadcasting studio and innovative equipment, and director teams, cameramen and other technical specialists controlled the filming process from Moscow. NTV was one of the leaders in terms of citation in the media, taking second place among Russian TV channels based on the coverage of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (according to Medialogy, time period from June 15 to June 20, 2022).

Also, a 24-hour Internet channel dedicated to SPIEF was launched on the NTV.ru website, NTV’s official RUTUBE page, and on the channel’s social media accounts. All the most up-to-date forum information was available in real time for 65 consecutive hours.
During SPIEF, Gazprom-Media Holding and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced joint production of projects, which will begin with film creation. From the holding’s side, Central Partnership will be engaged in production. Collaboration with Iranian filmmakers will be the first joint Russian-Iranian film project in the media industry history.
RUTUBE, PREMIER and YAPPY digital assets were presented at the Gazprom-Media Holding booth. Throughout the days of the forum, they held events with participation of influencers: workshops by Anna Khilkevich, Aleksandr Zarubin (Sasha Stone) and Anatoly Tsoi, bloggers Vovan and Lexus. Photo zones and TV shows were organized at the booth.

YAPPY Ambassadors Anna Khilkevich and Anatoly Tsoi spoke in the public-talk format in the special youth section of SPIEF.Junior, where they spoke about influencers’ work and modern requirements of authors and businesses for content.
The holding program also included cultural events. The PREMIER online cinema held an exclusive screening of the first episode of the Heritage series 1.5 months before the official launch on the platform. The premiere took place under the dome of Planetarium No. 1.

The national video hosting RUTUBE organized a light installation showing a projection of a rocket taking off on one of the spans of the raised Palace Bridge, which St. Petersburg residents could watch for three days.

Within the framework of SPIEF.Junior, there was also a presentation of the children’s animated series Knowledge Ladder: Mastery, produced by RUTUBE and YARKO studio at the Academy of Digital Technologies.
