White Nights film distributor (part of Gazprom-Media Holding through GPM KIT) will release Haute Couture in Russian movie theatres on November 11, 2021. This melodrama tells the story of a girl from the outskirts of Paris, who ends up in the heart of the fashion world and tries to prove that she deserves to be there.
The film was created with the support of French luxury fashion house Dior. The brand’s workshop made the dresses shown during the final fashion show, while its fashion consultants helped to develop the full concept of the film.
Jade, a girl from a disadvantaged area of Paris, earns her living through street thefts. One day she steals a bag in an underground passage. The bag’s owner is Esther, the head seamstress at a Dior workshop. Instead of calling the police, Esther decides to help the young woman and offers her a job at one of the world’s most prestigious fashion ateliers even though Jade is someone who is far removed from the fashion world. Esther’s colleagues are confused and Jade’s friends don’t believe that she will manage. But Dior’s head seamstress has always had stellar instincts and it is in this daring, rough girl from the outskirts that she sees great potential. Will Jade be able to prove not only to others, but also to herself that she can turn her life around?
