NTV’s television formats Ty Super! (You are Super!), Sekret na Million (A Secret Worth a Million) and Ekstrasensy Protiv Detektivov (Psychics Versus Detectives) were recognized among the top five best original TV formats at the international contest Pitch & Play live. A record number of applications from seven countries were filed for selection this year.
The objective of Pitch & Play live is to find original television formats from Central and Eastern Europe. The NTV format Ty Super! was especially commended by the jury on two criteria: universality (flexibility to change and evolve) and internationality (possibility to adapt it for other countries). The project stood out thanks to the balance between its entertainment and narrative components, and thus reached a top position at the contest. The main characters of the singing show Ty Super! are talented children from Russia and the CIS who were left without parental care. Thanks to their participation in the project, the contestants were able to show what they are capable of, gain new professional skills and change their lives.
The finalists of Pitch & Play live were determined by members of the selection committee who have considerable authority in the industry: head of marketing at Banijay Zodiak Samantha Ferguson, head of the international department at Rabbit Films Jonathan Tuovinen, senior creative director of the development department at Armoza Formats Elwin de Groot, general manager of CEETV, TVBIZZ Group Georgy Chakarov, and Dann Novak, software producer.
