Films of Gazprom-Media Holding will be shown in Vietnam cover

The military drama Not Listed and the historical film Catherine the Great will be presented to audiences in Hanoi as part of the Russian Film Week, organized by ROSKINO with the support of the Russian Ministry of Culture. The grand opening ceremony will take place on June 27.

«Russian film festivals are true cultural bridges that unite people through the screen, allowing everyone to feel the atmosphere of our country and its historical heritage. During the first Russian film festival in Vietnam, viewers will see two of our projects. The military drama Not Listed not only depicts a feat – this film makes you live with the heroes, and feel what those who bravely defended the Brest Fortress experienced. The film Catherine the Great from the historical Rus cycle, which we are creating with the support of Gazprom, allows us to realize the scale of our great history and learn about the people who created it. I am confident that the screenings of our films at the Russian Film Week will help viewers to understand the cultural codes of our country more deeply».

Aleksandr Zharov General Director of Gazprom-Media Holding and producer of the films Not Listed and Catherine the Great

The film Not Listed will be the opening film of the Russian Film Week. The project will be presented to the audience by director Sergey Korotaev.

«Not Listed and Catherine the Great are large-scale novelties of domestic cinema, reflecting iconic, pivotal milestones of our history: The Great Patriotic War and the era of transformations in the second half of the 18th century, which was also called the “Golden Age” of Russian culture. The Vietnamese audience is interested in Russian history, and we see this from the films and series that Vietnamese distributors are interested in at international film markets. I hope the audience will discover many interesting historical and cultural facts thanks to these films».

Elsa Antonova General Director of ROSKINO

Free film screenings will take place at the National Cinema Center in the historic center of Hanoi. Guests will also see military cinema, a sports drama, and a fairy tale film. The film screenings will be a reciprocal event for the Days of Vietnamese Cinema in Russia in 2024.
