The film The Poet will be shown at the 15th international festival in Beijing
Viewers will see a film about the great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin in the “Focus on the Future” section of the competition program of the 15 International Festival in Beijing. The film will be shown from April 18 to 24. The creators of the film include the film company Central Partnership (part of Gazprom-Media Holding) and the companies Kinoslovo and TRITE Studios of Nikita Mikhalkov, with the support of the Cinema Fund.

The «Focus on the Future» section features first and second full-length films by directors from around the world. For the shortlist, 15 films of various genres were selected from more than 500 films from almost 90 countries worldwide. Over its fifteen years of existence, the festival has established itself as a crucial platform for cultural exchange and the promotion of cinematography.
Developing dialogue with China is one of the focuses of international cooperation for Gazprom-Media Holding. An agreement was signed in 2024 on cooperation with the China Media Corporation. And in March of this year, CEO of the holding Alexander Zharov thanked Chinese colleagues for their assistance in creating TV projects in China during a trip to Beijing by a Russian delegation led by Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova. He also expressed gratitude to the China Film Group for its decision to distribute the film The Wizard of the Emerald City.
