The film Gruppa krovi opened the Russian Film Festival in Uzbekistan cover

The Russian Film Festival, organized by ROSKINO with the support of the Russian Ministry of Culture, has started in Tashkent. The festival was opened by the tragic war drama Gruppa krovi.

The Gruppa krovi drama, which took a special place in the festival program, is dedicated to the terrible but important pages of the Great Patriotic War: the history of the children’s donor concentration camp in Vyritsa. The film had already been released in Russian cinemas and has received audience attention. In Tashkent, it was presented by actress Ekaterina Domashenko as part of a group of Russian filmmakers.

«Gruppa krovi is a very powerful, tragic story about true heroism, selflessness, and mutual assistance. I am very glad that in the year of the 80th anniversary of victory, this film will be seen not only in Russia but also in Uzbekistan. Together, our peoples bravely fought against the invaders and brought peace and tranquility to their homes. The choice of the Gruppa krovi film as the opening film of the Russian Film Festival in Uzbekistan is an undeniable testament that such films are in demand both in Russia as well as the former Soviet republics, with which we share a common past and present».

Aleksandr Zharov CEO of Gazprom-Media Holding

«The participation of the Gruppa krovi film in the Russian Film Festival in Uzbekistan is a very significant event for us, especially in the year of the 80th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War. Incidentally, during those war years, my grandmother and children were evacuated to Tashkent. Many years later, on behalf of my family, I want to thank the entire Uzbek people for their contribution to the victory over fascism. And I would very much like our film to unite as many people from different countries as possible. I thank ROSKINO for organizing the screening, as well as everyone who supported the creation of the Gruppa krovi film and its promotion».

Inessa Yurchenko General Producer of the Triiks Media film company

The Gruppa krovi film was created as part of the “No Statute of Limitations” federal project by the Triiks Media film company with the support of the Film Fund, Gazprom-Media Holding, the Russian Military Historical Society, and the Movement of the First.

Film screenings organized by ROSKINO with the support of the Russian Ministry of Culture will become part of the Days of Russian Culture program in Uzbekistan. The festival program, which will last until May 31 in Tashkent, will also feature war and historical films, family comedies, and biographical dramas.
