Ekipazh comes out in Chinese cinemas

The Russian film Ekipazh (Flight Crew) was released in Chinese cinemas on August 19. In its first weekend, the film’s revenues amounted to $4.08 million, which put it among the leaders at the Chinese box office. The largest film distribution organization China Film Group is managing the showings of Ekipazh in the country.

The disaster-themed film Ekipazh, which features Danila Kozlovsky and Vladimir Mashkov in the leading roles, was shot at the Trite studio of Nikita Mikhalkov and Leonid Vereshyagin. The film tells the story of a group of pilots who saved hundreds of passengers in an extreme situation. It was released in April in Russia and the CIS, and became the highest-grossing domestic film of the year, earning more than 1.5 billion rubles ($25.6 million).

Earlier in June, the film was released in the Middle East region, including Lebanon.
