Russia and China show mutual interest in exchanging experiences and getting acquainted with each other’s culture, said Darya Bogdanova, head of the international department of Gazprom-Media Holding. She participated in the round table «Breaking Good. Russian-Chinese partnership in the field of cinema, animation, and creative industries», which took place as part of the RICS International Conference on Creative Economy.

However, despite the significant potential, the promotion of Russian cinema in China faces a number of challenges due to the specifics of film distribution.

Gazprom-Media Holding successfully develops cooperation with China. Joint work has begun on a film with the working title Soyuzniki (Allies), and the films Gruppa krovi (Blood Type) and V spiskakh ne znachilsya (His Name Was Not Listed) have also started screening in China.


The International Conference on Creative Economy was held in St. Petersburg on October 8 and 9. The organizers were Agency for Strategic Initiatives and the Government of St. Petersburg. Gazprom-Media Holding was the general information partner of the event.
