Two experts have joined the Match sub-holding team. Vasily Konov was appointed general manager of the sports information agency Match+, while Evgeny Slyusarenko is stepping into his new role as the agency’s editor-in-chief.

Vasily Konov is known for his sports broadcasting work at Channel One (1998-2010). Later he was the head of the leading sports news agency R-Sport for seven years (2010-2017). Most recently he worked as a director of special projects of Rossiya Segodnya. He has received the Order of Friendship.

Evgeny Slyusarenko studied at the Faculty of Journalism of the Moscow State University where he became a Candidate of Sciences and wrote a dissertation and several textbooks on the history of sports publications. In 2014 he was appointed deputy editor-in-chief of the Championat sports news website. In 2018 he was promoted to the editor-in-chief position.

Aside from these additions to the Match team, there are also departures. The sports commentator and TV presenter Denis Kazansky is leaving Match to focus on other projects. The sub-holding’s management would like to thank Denis for his years of work on the Match TV channels and his consistently professional attitude.
