The fifth VK Fest, one of the most popular city open-airs in Russia, took place in St. Petersburg. A special VK+Match TV studio worked on the festival site for two days. Its guests included famous athletes, coaches and sports experts. Moreover, festival guests could watch Russian Premier League matches in MATCH PREMIER’s special virtual zone with the help of VR technology.

Match TV’s well-known personalities Sofya Tartakova, Karen Adamyan and Nobel Arustamyan hosted the makeshift studio.

The TV channel’s studio welcomed 30 guests over the two days of the festival, including ambassadors of extreme sports that are particularly popular among young people. Guests included the representative of Russia’s La Liga office Daniel Cerejido, football players Aleksandr Kerzhakov and Andrey Arshavin, commentator Gennady Orlov, European swimming champion Yelena Bogomazova, as well as representatives of Zenit’s football, basketball and volleyball clubs.

Subscribers of Match TV and MATCH PREMIER on the VKontakte social network also had access to live broadcasts from the TV channel’s studio at VK Fest. About 2 million people watched Match TV’s live broadcasts on the social network.
