According to RUTUBE, which is a part of Gazprom-Media Holding, in 2025, the peak daily traffic volume on the platform exceeded 12 Tbps, and the average daily volume was almost 8 Tbps. On average, each user of the service consumes about 4 GB of video content daily or 1.4 TB per year.
Moscow accounts for 24.2% of the total traffic consumption, St. Petersburg for 5.8%, and Novosibirsk Region for 3%. Sverdlovsk Region and Krasnodar Territory also makes it into the top 5 with 2.7% each.
Residents of the capital consume an average of about 2.9 Tbps of video traffic per day, which is more than the combined total of the other regions in the top 5. In St. Petersburg, the average volume of transferred video information was about 700 Gbps, in Novosibirsk Region – 360 Gbps, and in Sverdlovsk Region and Krasnodar Territory the traffic size was recorded at 325 Gbps in each region.
The top foreign countries by video traffic consumption since the beginning of the year included Belarus, Kazakhstan, the USA, Germany, and Uzbekistan. The total number of views from abroad in 2025 was over 2.1 billion.
The peak load hours on the video service were recorded from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., and the minimum traffic during the hours from 3 a.m. to 6 a.m. Traffic growth is observed from 7 a.m to 12 p.m.
