For the first time a film series from Russia - Obychnaya Zhenshina (An Ordinary Woman) by Boris Khlebnikov - was included in the main competition of the prestigious international festival Series Mania.

The world premiere of Obychnaya Zhenshina, the new project from TV-3 channel (part of Gazprom-Media) and director Boris Khlebnikov, will take place on April 29 in Lille, France. The main roles in the series are performed by Anna Mikhalkova, Yevgeny Grishkovets, Aleksandra Bortich, Aglaya Tarasova and Tatyana Dogileva.

The pilot episode of Obychnaya Zhenshina will be shown to the international public in France. The filming of the series continues. Its script was created in the drama genre with detective and humorous elements. At the core of the plot is a story about a 39-year-old Muscovite, Marina, who in her free time from work and family secretly runs a brothel. Behind this extravagant storyline lies a dramatic story about a strong woman who takes on herself the responsibility for the well-being of her family.
