The filming of director and screenwriter Ivan Sosnin’s debut feature-length film Dalekie Blizkie (Close People Far Away) started in St. Petersburg. KIT Film Studio (part of GPM KIT, which is part of Gazprom-Media Holding) co-produced the film with KION online cinema (MTS Media) and Red Pepper Film. This is a story of how close people can become strangers in the modern world, while strangers can become close. Evgeny Sytyy and Filipp Avdeyev play the lead roles in the film.
Delekie Blizkie will premiere in movie theatres and exclusively on the KION online cinema in 2022. It is made in a road movie style, following a father and son who travel from Khabarovsk to Moscow. The pair will visit the most incredible and beautiful locations in Russia - scenes will be shot in Khabarovsk, Baikal, Olkhon, Buryatia, St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region.
