1-2-3 Production, led by producers Valeriy Fedorovich and Evgeny Nikishov, has announced the launch of nine documentary projects: two films and seven series. The studio’s creative producer, Anna Gudkova, is in charge of project development and has called on Marina Razbezhkina, director, screenwriter, producer and founder of a documentary and theater school, to participate in several projects, each one related to current events in one way or another.

Subjects of these documentaries include Victor Starffin, a Russian baseball player who became famous in Japan but remained almost completely unknown in his homeland; a series about notable regional Russian musicians from the last few decades, including Basta and the band Kasta; a story about women who were given unusual names at birth; a blockbuster about gang boss Don Corleone; and documentary reflections about the fates of women in Moscow who belong to ethnic minorities, including the singer Manizha, who was selected to represent Russia at the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest.
