On May 13, the Chinese Film Festival opened at the Illusion cinema in the capital, with one of the guests of the ceremony being Yulia Golubeva, Deputy CEO of Gazprom-Media Holding.

«It is symbolic that this year’s festival is timed to a memorable date, the 80th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War. It is very valuable that the Chinese side fully shares this great and sacred holiday with us. We are actively developing bilateral cooperation in the media sphere. This is an integral component of the Russian-Chinese diplomatic relations that we have maintained for more than 75 years. One of the latest examples is the military drama Soyuzniki [Allies], a joint project of Gazprom-Media Holding and the Chinese company Xicheng Media Company. The film tells the story of the Sino-Japanese War and the Great Patriotic War. The film is expected to be ready by the end of 2026. We hope it will attract interest from both Chinese and Russian audiences».
