The Italian distribution company TVCO has acquired the international rights to show the Russian drama Masha, which had its world premiere at the American Film Market 2020.
Masha is a joint project between 1-2-3 Production, which produced To the Lake, Russia’s most successful series abroad, and Mars Media, whose media library includes the military action film T-34 and the drama Aritmia (Arrhythmia).
Directed by Anastasia Palchikova, Masha was recognized as the best debut at the Kinotavr film festival this year and was also included in the international contest program of teenage films at the Black Nights festival, which will be held in Tallinn, Estonia, in the second half of November.
