The crime thriller Milliard (Billion) produced by Central Partnership (part of Gazprom-Media Holding) and RSS Production has topped the national box office in the first three days since its release in Russia. The film was released on April 18 and has since collected 170 million rubles ($2.6 million) at the box office, without taking ticket sales in the CIS countries into account, according to the Byulleten Kinoprokatchika (Film Distributor’s Bulletin).
As of April 21, the film is also available to audiences in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, Denmark and Cyprus. The film will premiere in Great Britain on April 23, and in the United States and Canada on May 5.
