Detskoe Radio and the Roscosmos state corporation have launched a unique drawing contest in honor of the 60th anniversary of the first manned space flight. The best drawings will become part of the Children’s Space Gallery exhibit on the International Space Station.

The Detskoe Radio v Kosmose (Detskoe Radio in Space) art competition is a large-scale project that Detskoe Radio and Roscosmos are organizing ahead of the anniversary of Yuri Gagarin’s journey into outer space on April 12, 1961, allowing children who dream about space to check off their first cosmic-level achievements.

Young listeners of Detskoe Radio will create a real Children’s Space Gallery together with their favorite radio station. All they need to do is draw something that goes along with the theme We’re in Space!, take a photo of it, and upload it to deti.fm/detskoe-radio-v-kosmose. Organizers propose ideas such as futuristic spaceships, planet exploration, an unusual space landscape, a starry sky, or the Milky Way, and the children can use watercolors, gouache, ink, colored pencils, regular pencils, or pastels. Most importantly, it should show a lot of imagination and creativity.
