Germany’s Beta Film, one of the world’s leading licensers, will handle the international distribution of 1-2-3 Production’s Polyot (The Flight), produced by Valery Fyodorovich and Evgeny Nikishov.
Beta Film had acquired the rights to another high-profile project by Fyodorovich and Nikishov earlier this year—the series Pereval Dyatlova (Dead Mountain: The Dyatlov Pass Incident), which launched with great success on TNT and the PREMIER video platform this week.
Polyot is a drama by Pyotr Todorovsky Jr. starring Nikita Efremov, Oksana Akinshina, Pavel Tabakov and Yulia Khlynina about a group of employees at a construction company who narrowly escape dying, which forces them to radically reassess their lives and start fighting back against anything that keeps them from feeling alive.
The series has already attracted the attention of an international audience, winning Best TV Series at the Serial Killer festival in Czech Republic in September and becoming the only Russian project to be included in another important television event, Germany’s Seriencamp, in November. Furthermore, it was included in Content London, a prestigious international online conference in the United Kingdom, and will get an exclusive screening there at the end of the month.
