The film company 1-2-3 Production, together with Canada’s leading film companies Connect3 Media and Yap Films, are working on a premium documentary series Semdesyat Dva (Seventy Two) about the legendary hockey rivalry between Russia and Canada.
The Soviet Union and Canada’s national teams played an eight-game Super Series in 1972. Four of these matches took place in Canada and the next four in Moscow. This was not the Olympic Games where many countries take part in a tournament, but a head-to-head battle between two powerful hockey nations, represented by their best athletes.
