Best Brands is a German media award with a 15-year history. It is awarded in France, Italy, Spain, Great Britain, Belgium and China. This year the award ceremony was held in Russia for the first time, with the support of Serviceplan Group Russia. Gazprom-Media Holding served as the award’s general partner.
The awards were handed out based on the results of market research carried out by GfK company. The winners were selected based on two criteria: the company’s economic success on the market and the emotional perception of the brand by consumers. The study covered more than 300 brands that are represented on the Russian market. More than 7,200 people took part in the study’s large-scale survey.
The Best Brands-2019 winners in five categories:
Bosch - Best Product Brand;
Xiaomi - Best Growing Product Brand;
Frutonyanya - Best Russian Food Brand;
Google - Best Foreign Corporate Brand in Russia;
Yandex - Best Russian Corporate Brand.
The awards ceremony was attended by more than 350 top managers of leading companies in Russia - company leaders, vice presidents, managing directors and brand managers, research and analytics directors, as well as international experts in communications and advertising.
“The Best Brands Award is a unique opportunity to get feedback from consumers. The brands included on the Best Brands shortlist choose TV as the main platform for communicating with their audiences. For us, this is key evidence that TV advertising is effective,” said Ekaterina Veselkova, general manager of Gazprom-Media sale house.
