Dmitry V.Biryukov was born in Moscow in 1957.
Graduated form the Moscow State Institute for International Relations.
From 1979 to 1981 worked at the USSR State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting (Gosteleradio) as an editor with its Main News Desk (Mayak radio).
From 1981 to 1986 was a Gosteleradio correspondent in India.
From 1986 to 1991 worked as Editor of the international news department and Deputy Editor of the commentary department of the Ogonyok magazine.
From 1991 to 1992 was Chief Editor for the New York Times weekly review.
From 1993 was Vice President of RTV-Press and in 1994 became President of CJSC TV-Park.
Since October 1995 — President of CJSC Seven Days Publishing House.
From January 2003 to July 2004 was First Deputy Director General of JSC Gazprom-Media.
